page is dedicated to all those students and staff who have passed through Our Lady Help of
Christians, St Joachim's School, Xavier College or Ursula Frayne Catholic College.
If you would like to share some past stories, interesting events in your life or what

information on the lives of our ex-students and ex-staff.
Katherine Ditchfield (Class of 1991 - Head
Girl)
After leaving Ursula Frayne I spent 3 years at the Australian Defence Forces Academy
graduating with a Science Degree. Spent time on patrol boats, frigates and two years on
the Young Endeavour sail training ship. Sailed on the Young Endeavour when it was the
radio ship for Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. Travelled with Navy to Indonesia and Hawaii.
Have made some great friends in the Navy and had lots of fun.
Simon Gilders (Class of 1994 - Head Boy)
Having spent some time travelling overseas, I am now at UWA studying Geography - which is
really interesting. I am engaged to be married to a wonderful girl named Karen. We spend
most of our free time these days scuba diving and taking holidays.
Christine Gannaway (Class of 1995 - Head Girl, Principal's Award)
After High School I went to UWA completing a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics,
Geography and Industrial Relations. I then completed an Honours Degree in Industrial
Relations. I am intending to do a Masters Degree in 2005. Andrew Osnain (Head
Boy 1995) and I have been going out since High School are are getting married in April
2004.
Jennifer Ditchfield (Class of 1996 - Head
Girl)
Have spent last six years at UWA. Achieved Bachelor of Science (Psych) (Hons). Studying
for Masters in Neuropsychology which I should complete by the end of 2003. Worked many
part-time jobs - petrol station attendant, waitress, worked at Workright helping
intellectually handicapped people with their jobs. Travelled to England, Europe Cairns and
Alice Springs. Still in contact with friends from Frayne.
Chris Mattock (Class of 2000 - Head Boy, Principal's Award)
Since I graduated in 2000 I have spent most of my time overseas. In 2001 I studied
at Mt Lawley TAFE doing a Cert IV in Sports Development. In 2002 I went to New York
and spent 3 months working in a childrens' summer camp. I followed this up with
travelling to Canada, England, Thailand and Singapore. In 2003 I once again worked
at the summer camp in New York and then travelled around America and Johannesburg. I
am now working back home and looking forward to studying Education in 2004.
Ania Stasinska (Class of 2000 - Head Girl,
Frayne Medallist)
Currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Health Science degree at UWA with a double
major in Anatomy and Public Health - currently have 18 months left. Working part-time for
the Auto Trader magazine.
Luke Malatesta (Class of 2001 - Head Boy, Principal's Award,
College Dux)
At the moment I'm enjoying living, studying and working in Kalgoorlie and am in my third
year of Mining Engineering. In my last year I plan to travel to Italy and study at the uni
of Siena and visit my family there, most of whom I have never met before. I'm continually
grateful, now more than ever, for everything the College gave me over the years. Good luck
to all students and staff, past, present and future...
Nicholas Arcaro (Class of 2002 - Head Boy,
Frayne Medallist)
I am currently at Curtin doing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Cultural Studies. I
do three of my four units at Curtin and the fourth unit is completed at UWA where I am
studying Italian. In the future I hope to complete my Honours and then a two year Diploma
of Education.
Georgeanne Fernandez (Class of 2002 - Head
Girl)
I am currently taking a break from study and am working casually enjoying my free time. I
plan to visit a friend in Melbourne later on this year and maybe a trip up North with the
family.
